In this section, we introduce examples of our efforts to find and develop from the viewpoint of whether there is no way to recover some energy in our daily operations. Spring balancers (mainspring) are used to reduce the weight cost on workers during assembly and transportation of the plant, but we focused on whether we could effectively use the energy of the mainspring during pulling and winding. Electric power can be generated by installing a generator on the shaft of the mainspring, which leads to efficient energy reuse by both pulling and winding (left figure below). Demonstration is now ready, and we are proceeding with data acquisition for power generation capacity. In the future, we intend to promote the commercialization of this technology with the aim of expanding its application to lifter equipment and robots.
