This year is the second year since the formulation of TPEC Environmental Challenge 2050 and the implementation phase. In order to accelerate and continue the company-wide efforts to achieve the challenge, we share our vision and path toward achievement, as well as our current main initiatives and topics.

I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude for your understanding and cooperation with various company policies and activities, such as safety, health, and the environment on a daily basis. As the world situation changes dramatically and uncertainty increases, whenever necessary for resources such as "electricity and water“ I feel that the current state of Japan, which is available, will not be a matter of course in the future. Against this backdrop, there is a need to "self-financing of the necessary energy (electric power) from what we can do through energy conservation and energy creation“. This will lead to global environmental measures and contributions to the handover of sustainable planets to the next generation.
In addition, as we are aware of in our daily operations, our core business of digital engineering, is not unrelated to the environment and SDGs, but is related to everything. "TPEC Environmental Challenge 2050“ is not only about what is in front the perspective of life cycle assessment, contributing to environmental issues through our core businesses and thinking about achieving carbon neutrality across society as a whole. "Let's take on the challenge with a smile, "cheerful, fun, energetic".

◆Carbon Neutral (CN) Targeted by TPEC

▲Zero electricity purchases/2050 achievement/early achievement in 2030
In 2021, no CO2 emissions were achieved by switching to power from renewable energy sources. We aim to achieved zero electricity purchases by continuing company-wide energy-saving activities and creating energy. We aim to achieve carbon neutrality across local communities and society as a whole.

◆Paperless

Effectively recycle and use limited resources.
The continuous challenge of paperless has led to the realization of a work style that can flexibly respond to the improvement of 3R awareness and business efficiency.

◆PET bottle cap collection activities/Motomachi

One year after expanding the circle of activities from the head office to Motomachi. We collected caps as many as 80kg (= about 32,000 caps). This activity, which leads to provision of vaccines to children around the world and CO2 savings, will continue this activity at both sites and the entire company in the future!

◆Contributing to CN on the customer side through our core business

In cooperation with global society, we are working to raise awareness and practice our core business from a CN perspective in order to contribute to the sustainability of society, stakeholders, and the earth through our business activities.

◆Munakata Eco International Symposium​

Since 2017, when the "Island of God" Munakata and Okinoshima and related heritage sites were registered as World Heritage Sites, TPEC has participated in the management of the conference as an executive committee member.
We also shoot and provide videos of underwater creatures in the Genkai Nada. We are working on activities to protect the world's oceans from Munakata.

◆Satsuki Matsubara Cleanup and Beach Cleanup Activities

The history of more than a decade of coastal environmental and landscape protection activities include each person’s feelings for the region and the environment, as well as cherished memories with TPEC colleagues and families.

Thank you for always participating in and cooperating with the activities of the environmental committee, including company-wide energy-saving activities. Although activities to address global environmental issues and issues are wide-ranging and complex, I believe that we can solve this problem by raising the awareness of each and every employee and by taking action. The Environmental Committee makes a concerted effort to achieve the challenge, we will continue to plan, devise and develop activities that all employees can participate in and continue with smiling faces. We will all achieve TPEC Environmental Challenge 2050 together and create a better environment for the future.
