New Year’s Greeting ーWelcoming 2024ー

At the beginning of the year 2024, I would like to offer my best wishes for the New Year. First of all, I would like to express my sincere condolences to all those who lost their lives in the major earthquake that struck the Noto Peninsula on New Year's Day, and my deepest sympathies to all those who have been affected by the disaster.
Now, last year we were able to achieve zero disasters, and we also saw various changes in the environment as good opportunities to work on strengthening the company's foundations for a major transformation for the future.This is the result of the cooperation of our employees and all other stakeholders. I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude.

As the once-in-a-century period of major change in the automotive industry continues and the global situation and environment surrounding us continue to change rapidly, we will focus on the following two points this year in order to survive and achieve sustainable growth in these challenging times where "we don't know what will happen or what the right answers will be".

◆Compliance
We all understand and practice the basic stance of the 'Toyota Code of Conduct', which is to comply with laws and regulations and to follow ethical and social norms as our own personal affairs.

◆Resource Shift
Process reform and corporate transformation is promoted through a shift to high-value work through self-employment and reskilling (learning new things, acquiring skills and practicing them) of work through AI and various technologies.

Along with the transformation of the company, each and every one of you must face the need for change, break free from the mindset of "not wanting to change the status quo", dare to put yourself in difficult situations, challenge yourself in new areas, acquire and practice new skills, and take on the challenges of the future. It is necessary to take on new challenges, to take on new areas of challenge, to acquire new skills and put them into practice. Let's use TPEC VISION 2030 as a guidepost to think about what we want to be in 2030 and what we need to do now to achieve our dreams, and share this with each other to bring smiles and happiness to everyone's faces in the future. I also ask you to continue to think and act steadily and sincerely every day, and to create a workplace and people with a high level of safety and sensitivity. Let's continue to take on challenges together towards our dreams!
