TPEC's AI team is actively promoting efforts to realize a digital twin by combining on-site knowledge with cutting-edge technology.
Digital twin is a technology that enables simulation and optimization by reproducing real facilities and work environments in virtual space, and is an indispensable element for the advancement of manufacturing. It plays an important role in supporting the linkage of real and virtual worlds by organizing, accumulating, and analyzing vast amounts of data obtained from the field to detect anomalies, make predictions, and provide decision-making support.
Furthermore, AI is working to automate inquiry response and work navigation in diverse workplaces, including the field, through the use of chatbot technology. By accumulating and sharing the knowledge of skilled workers as formal knowledge and providing “the right information to the right person, at the right time,” through AI-based search technology, we expect to improve the speed of decision-making and work efficiency in the field.

In addition, TPEC is taking on the challenge of developing technologies in a wide range of areas, such as automation of inspection and quality assurance, resolution of occupational health and safety issues, and challenging themes with an eye toward next-generation manufacturing. We are aiming to realize “AI utilization incorporating knowledge from the field” by making the most of TPEC's strong position “close to the field” and promoting the development of AI human resources together with members who know the field well.
